Two Miles at a Time
Walking two miles a day for one year was not something that came naturally to me, and there were many evenings I had to push myself to go. Over time, I found small ways to make the walks more interesting.
Much of my path ran alongside a golf course, and one of my favorite challenges was searching for golf balls with a black light after dark. What started as a simple distraction turned into a small adventure of its own.
Over the course of that year, I enjoyed dramatic skies, changing weather, quiet evenings, wildlife, and the simple experience of being outdoors.
